Drop Procedures
When drop procedures are not followed properly for any course, your bank will be billed full tuition and may contact you for reimbursement. Your bank may also request your reimbursement of any drop fee.
AIB Online Instructor-led Courses
(in conjunction with American Bankers Association)
To drop an Online Instructor-led Course you must notify the KBA office. Notification to our office can be made by calling (502) 582-2453, sending a fax to (502) 584-6390 or emailing education@kybanks.com. There will be a $100 drop fee* for cancellations received within 10 business days after the start of the course. NO REFUNDS will be made for cancellations received after 10 business days. Students may transfer to a later course (only once in each course) by paying a $100 transfer fee. Course student is traferring to must be within 2 months of transfer date. Transfer fee for all courses is $100.
If an employee leaves the bank after registering for an AIB online course, a refund can only be made before the course begins or within 10 business days of the course start date (minus $100 drop fee). ABA will not make exceptions to the above drop procedures. We suggest asking employees about AIB classes they are currently enrolled in during the exit interview OR you may call our office and we can tell you if an employee is currently registered in an AIB course.
*NOTE: To receive a refund on a textbook it MUST be returned unopened or in NEW condition within 30 days. When textbooks are NOT returned, or are NOT in NEW condition the cost of the book will be ADDED to the $100 drop fee. To expedite your textbook refund please include the original packing slip when returning.

*Textbook Refunds
This applies to ALL AIB courses. To receive credit for KBA textbooks, when you drop a course, they must be returned (shipped or mailed prepaid) to the KBA office in NEW condition (any textbooks with writing or highlighting in them will not be accepted for refund). Refund will not be issued until the book is received.
