My Savings Book & Journal

Order Form

Only 1 in 3 teens knows how to read a bank statement,  balance a checkbook, and pay bills.  Barely 1 in 5 has an idea how to invest.  - Charles Schwab Teens and Money 2007 Survey

The statistic above is shocking reality, and your Association wants to help our members improve the financial choices of tomorrow's generation and build customer loyalty for a lifetime.

In order to assist KBA members in the promotion of financial education, the KBA is now offering the opportunity for our members to purchase My Savings Book & Journal. It is the hope of the KBA that banks across the Commonwealth will utilize this resource as a tool to foster financial awareness among the youth in the communities you serve.

My Savings Book & Journal (written for children in elementary and junior high school) can be customized with your bank logo and personal message to the recipients. Click here to view a sample.

Books, with a retail value of $7.95, are available to KBA member institutions at a cost of $2.50 each plus shipping. You have the option to incorporate a color logo and a personal message as seen in the sample.

Inspire a child to learn more about banking and how to save:

  • As they open an account in your lobby;
  • When they visit the community library as a result of your donation;
  • Donate to local school districts or hospitals;
  • Distribute in *April for official National Financial Literacy Month and for "Teach Children to Save Day" and in October for "Get Smart About Credit Day".

Please contact Selina Parrish at the KBA at (502) 582-2453 if you have questions or need additional information about ordering My Savings Book & Journal. We look forward to receiving your bank's order!

Based on when your bank places an order for the books, it may not be possible for the books to be imprinted and shipped to you in time for April delivery. If you choose to personalize the booklets, email your bank's high resolution logo and personalized message to sparrish@kybanks.com.
