|Lanie W. Gardner, serves as First Southern National Bank’s Community President in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. Lanie is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking (LSU) and Brescia University. Lanie also serves on the Kentucky Banker’s Association Board of Directors, Muhlenberg Alliance for Progress Board of Directors, The Community Hospital Board of Directors, various other community boards and association and is serves in her church in ladies ministry and Sunday School. Lanie brings a unique approach to learning through laughter, demonstration, activities, scenarios and more in the Kentucky Banker’s Association Banking School. Lanie is married to her husband Barry, of 36-years. They have two children and five grandchildren. Lanie is a proponent of leading from within and serves First Southern in their Emerging Leader’s Program.

|John David King is the Barbourville Market President and Chief Financial Officer for Hometown Bank, Corbin, KY. He has 36 years of experience in community banking with extensive experience in financial analysis, Bank investments, interest rate risk and liquidity management.
He has served as a faculty member of the KBA General Banking School since 2000 and has been an instructor for The American Institute of Banking.
He received his Professional Masters in Banking from the GSB at LSU and Sheshunoff Consulting. Additionally, he graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at LSU, the Kentucky Bank Management School and the KBA General Banking School. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Economics from Union College in Barbourville, KY.

|Dianna has been a professor of Finance in the College of Business for nearly 30 years. Dianna teaches in several banking schools including the American Bankers Association Business of Banking schools as well as the Kentucky's General Banking School and the Foundations of Banking School (formerly The Essentials of Banking School) and the Iowa School of Banking. She also taught for several years at the Graduate School of Banking of the South at LSU. Dianna has published articles in several journals including the Journal of Banking and Finance and Financial Review. She has served as a faculty representative on the University of Louisville’s University Club’s Board for three years. She currently serves on the board of directors of the Southern Finance Association.

|Mr. Paul M. Ratterman currently serves as Managing Director–Fixed Income Capital Markets at Stifel. His banking career began with Liberty National Bank in 1978. He has been working in his current capacity for 35 years, formerly at Liberty, Bank One, J.P. Morgan, and now Stifel.
In addition to receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at Hanover College in 1978 and an MBA from Bellarmine University in 1983, he is also a graduate of the American Bankers Association Graduate School of Bank Investments at the University of Oklahoma.
He is a faculty member of the American Bankers Association’s Stonier Graduate School of Banking and the ABA International School of Banking. He also instructs Asset/Liability Management and Portfolio Investment classes for the Kentucky School of Banking.
Professional credentials include the FINRA Securities Representative (Series 7), Securities Principal (Series 24), Municipal Securities Principal, and Securities Sales Supervisor (Series 9 & 10).
Mr. Ratterman currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Spalding University.

|Mr. White has 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He began his career with Liberty National Bank in Louisville, KY and went on to hold senior management roles there as well as with Great Financial Bank and The Bank of Louisville. In 1998 he co-founded Independence Bancorp and served as Vice Chair, President & CEO of Independence and its successor 1st Independence Financial Group and 1st Independence Bank until their sale in 2008. Mr. White subsequently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Madison Financial Corporation and Madison Bank in Richmond, KY, and as founder, President & CEO of Anchor Performance Group and as founder and managing member of Pillar Capital, LLC.
Mr. White has been a faculty member at the Kentucky Bankers Association School of Banking for many years. In addition, he has presented sessions on leadership, strategic planning, sales training, and sales management at numerous industry conferences and events over the years.
Mr. White earned his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University, where he is a member of their Hall of Distinguished Alumni, and his MBA from Bellarmine University. He previously served as Chairman of the board of the EKU Business Advisory Council.
Mr. White gives back to his community by serving on the Southern Indiana Economic Development Council, on the board and executive committees of the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana and the River Heritage Conservancy, on the Floyd County Board of Zoning Appeals, and as a class leader at Graceland Baptist Church. He has previously served on the board of the Southern Indiana Chamber of Commerce, The Metro United Way, Goodwill of Southern Indiana, and many others.
