Flood Insurance Update

With significant changes and updates to flood insurance requirements over the last several years, the ins and outs for compliance by financial institutions can be tricky. We will discuss the most important considerations for institutions and what we need to do to prepare for upcoming examinations. In addition to a review of fundamental requirements, our presentation will address the following:

  • Determinations/Notifications
  • Coverage/Exemptions
  • Private Insurance - Final Rules
  • Escrow for Flood Insurance premiums
  • Force-placement of flood insurance
  • Biggert-Waters/Consolidated Appropriations Act/Homeowner Flood Insurance Affordability Act
  • Updated Flood Examination procedures
