Reporting Transactions over $600 to IRS

Everyone wants banks to be the collector of information. Yesterday you saw that the CFPB is requiring more information on banking transactions with small businesses and now Congress is trying to pass legislation that would require banks to report ALL transactions of more than $600 to the IRS.

Five Senators (Moran, Boozman, Rounds, Cramer and Marshall) yesterday introduced S.2222, which would eliminate tax on interest earned from certain agricultural real estate loans.
