Senate Bill 135 was signed into law in 2022 which requires all county clerks to provide and maintain a website that allowed electronic filing for land records by June 30, 2023. Nancy G. Pratt is the Senior Strategic Business Manager at Black Knight Technologies. She provides team leadership in attaining company goals and manages the strategic relationships for the growth of the company. She is involved with Sales Support and strategy of the promotion and development of the Digital Mortgage Solutions throughout the Title agent network and lender segment of the industry.

Nancy has over 18 years of experience in the eMortgage/eClosing space, which played a key role in leading the go-to-market and implementation strategies for two of the five CFPB eClosing pilots. She has been in the mortgage/title industry for over 35 years and highlights of her career include industry milestones of performing the first complete eMortgage with lenders and conducting the first ever FHA and VA eClosings.

Nancy has been invited to speak at various industry conventions as an eClosing/eMortgage subject expert. She is the Vice-chair of the MBA MISMO eMortgage Community of Practice. Group. Additionally, Nancy serves on the North Carolina Electronic Mortgage Closing Advisory Board. A member of MBA’s Residential Technology Committee, Nancy also holds professional memberships with ALTA, PRIA, MBA, MISMO, ESRA, NASS/NPA and was just recently elected to serve on the board of ESRA for 2023.

Nancy was named as a Leading Lady in the Mortgage Industry by the MReport and was a recipient of the 2016 MBA Tech All Star Award. Additionally, Nancy was named as an Elite Women in Mortgage by Mortgage Professional America and was named one of Housing Wire’s Women of Influence for three consecutive years in a row.

Timothy has broad experience representing and working with community and regional area banks in the areas of compliance, creditors’ rights, bankruptcy, trusts and estates, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, employment law and lender liability litigation. Tim is admitted to practice in Kentucky and Tennessee and is undefeated as first chair in jury trials. Prior to joining the KBA, Tim was a partner at the law firms of Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs and Morgan Pottinger McGarvey and Senior Vice President of Litigation at Limestone Bank.

Education Alliance Cancellation Policy
Substitutions are always welcome and encouraged. All cancellations and substitutions request must be submitted in writing prior to the event.

KBA Seminar Registrations can cancel 30 days prior to the event date and receive a full refund. Cancellations received between 29 days and 10 days prior to the event will be charged a $50 processing fee. There will be no refund for cancellations received less than 10 days prior to the event.

KBA Schools Applicants can withdraw from a KBA School 10 days prior to the 1st day of the school for a refund minus a $150 cancellation fee. There is no refund if an applicant withdraws after the deadline or if applicant fails to attend the school, with the exception of extenuating circumstances. Due to commitments and expenses we cannot reverse, such as: handouts, food, beverages, room rentals, speaker fees, etc.; even extenuating circumstances will require partial refunds because of these expenses.
