Succession Academy - 2 Day Succession Planning Master Class

SUCCESSION ACADEMY in association with VAN HOOSER LEADERSHIP

Day 1 / Part 1 / October 1, 2024 / 12:00 - 4:30 PM/ ET

Title: Preparing & Transitioning Beyond Modern Banking

Description: The development and execution of any meaningful organizational succession initiative require a clear-eyed focus on its intended purpose, perspective, and process. Proactively anticipating and navigating multiple strategic initiatives—at every stage of the succession journey—requires thoughtful succession preparation and performance at the executive decision-making level.

This strategic, interactive session is designed to introduce, inform, and kick off the process of preparing banking executives for future succession successes. It will prepare leaders to think through, and then lead the internal transition process from its earliest stages to its successful fulfillment. In Part One, attendees will introspectively work through individual and team positioning for future succession success. With a clear, rational perspective on current challenges and opportunities, attendees will go throughout the rest of the program both willing and able to move forward intentionally and progressively.

Day 2 / Part 2 / October 2, 2024 / 8:30-11:30 AM/ET
Title: Master Communication, Catapult Succession Success

Description: Designing a strategic succession plan is an important first step in the succession journey. Effectively communicating that plan to future successors and other interested parties is equally critical. Communicating intent ineffectively oftentimes creates unnecessary and unwanted discouragement, distrust, and distractions within the organization. Conversely, well-planned, well-targeted and well-timed communication creates the “X-factor” for such an important undertaking. Participating executives and key decision-makers will be prepared with an appropriate communication strategy to utilize throughout the succession process.

Day 2 / Part 3 / October 2, 2024 / 12:30-3:30 PM/ET
Title: Leading Peak Performance & Employee/Customer Retention

Description: In banking and financial services, arguably every organization's greatest competitive advantage is the predictable, day-in-day-out peak performance of its team members. However, introducing significant organizational change, especially the transition of key decision-makers, often complicates a leader’s ability to correctly recognize and predict the mindset and future performance of multi-generational team members. Thus the ability to understand human motivation and drive peak team performance, especially during periods of change, is a major asset to leading succession efforts and individuals.

This session will introduce foundational motivational concepts worth considering once major succession changes are introduced, planned and executed. Successfully predicting the emotional mindsets and responses of team members impacted by the succession process can heighten organizational accountability, efficiency, commitment, performance, and even loyalty moving forward.
